Pretending Your Way to Success
Success isn't dependent on who your parents are, how much money you have, or knowing the right people. It's only about pretending to be the best YOU possible! With stories and easy (if embarrassing!) techniques, Margit reveals the 5 "truths" – success principles for teens or adults - that will save your spirit and help you create a life that you LOVE!

For Parents:
Roots and Wings: Building Loving Boundaries
Are you afraid to implement family rules and consequences because you think your teens will hate you? Nonsense! Teens LOVE rules! Learn fearless communication and find out the secret to creating effective yet loving boundaries, tailored to your family and your values.

Supporting Your ADD/ADHD Child's Gifts
You have a gifted child or teen AND he/she is also frustrating, exhausting, confusing, or all of the above! You've been told your child is not reaching his/her potential but no one can tell you what that potential is! High energy, low energy – how does a parent sort it all out? Margit Crane, ADD/ADHD coach and former school counselor and resource specialist, teaches parents of twice-exceptional kids and teens how to build your child's confidence and self-esteem, and channel their energy into practical yet meaningful goals.

For “Mommy-preneurs”:
Catalyst, Go-Getter, Carpool Driver, Mom
Have you uncovered The Secret to business success yet are still in the dark when it comes to family success? Do you wish you could snap your fingers and transform your career highs into home-life highs? Learn how to tap into your entrepreneurial spirit to become a confident and enthusiastic parent.

    Angerrrrrrr
Sort of like anger management for teens… but more fun! Whether you yell, stomp, burn slowly or hide, anger is killing all your chances for happiness.  In this small group gathering of teens you’ll learn how to navigate through the stormy waters of adolescence with some grace and dignity.  We’ll practice some techniques to get around the frustration, confusion and intolerance you may encounter in your life.

How To Be a Happy Adult!
You're not an adult yet but most happy adults wish they'd had a head start when they were teens. Learn the five characteristics of happy adults and how you can practice developing them right now! Pave your way to an awesome future (and watch how you'll be able to get your parents to behave!)

    For Teens and Parents together:
Are You Listening to Me?  A Communication Workshop for Teens, ‘Tweens and Their Parents
This workshop explores the very real and frustrating tensions between teens and their parents, uncovering the common source of these tensions and positing ways to overcome the communication gap so that families can live together in a more positive, sane, and mutually supportive manner.  Family members will get a chance to participate in exercises with their peers and with each other.

    For Educators:
    Foolproof Interventions for ADD/ADHD Students
What is ADD/ADHD? Is it a real condition? Is it over-diagnosed? Over-medicated? Is it a “catch all” term for high-spirited kids who don't want to cooperate? Are there methods that work better than others in helping us bring out the true potential in these bright, but often complex and trying kids? ADD coach and educator Margit Crane shares her personal and professional expertise about how you can help these gifted kids navigate through school without driving you to the brink of insanity! This is the perfect in-service or team-building event for teachers, school counselors, school administration, and health services personnel at the elementary, middle school, junior and senior high levels.

"Margit Crane is an excellent speaker but beyond that, she is clearly a leader in her field. I am the mother of 3; the oldest is 13. Margit's information is up-to-date and backed by her extensive experience as a teacher, counselor, coach, and stepparent. She pads her talk with wonderful tools and suggestions, and with easy-to-practice directions on how to strengthen the bond between parent (or stepparent) and teen. Surprisingly, I also learned to find personal strength from her talk. I am most grateful."
    --Susan G., Bellevue, Washington

    Foolproof Interventions for ADD/ADHD Children:

Fabulous! You presented information from a different viewpoint and said things that I had not heard put that way before. I learned a lot of ways to change my managing of my students' behaviors.
    --Lynn, Seattle

Your experiences and challenges as a person with ADD made your presentation much more REAL.
    --Maggie, Seattle

You covered everything I wanted to know about. Your ideas were GENIUS! When you shared your childhood it reminded me of the children I work with.
    --Carly, Seattle

I came away with a greater appreciation for what these kids go through. I was totally pleased with the presentation.
    --Terry, Seattle

I thought you covered ALL the aspects/materials well. I enjoyed the experience. You're an interesting person as well as someone who was successful at conducting the workshop.
    --Ken, Seattle

Most doctors say there's nothing you can do for ADD/ADHD kids until they're in kindergarten. As a daycare owner I appreciated your information about how to help young children.
    --Dee, Seattle

Thank you speaking for these kids. As a parent I am grateful that the teachers in the room were able to hear what parents go through. I wish the presentation had been longer.
    --Celeste, Bellevue WA, March 2009
