In 2002, Margit won an award for “Inspiring High School Educator” from UC San Diego. In her spare time Margit loves to hang out with her husband, Nick, her two stepkids, and her friends. message from margit: My parents didn't know what to do and, being the successful, high-status people that they were, they hid their parenting insecurities and didn't seek help and support for themselves or for me until we were all in a lot of pain. What really made a difference for me was finding a mentor who understood me and always believed in me. And that's when I decided that I wanted to be THAT for the rest of my life! As you can see from the professional bio above, I have done quite a lot of “that”! Whether I'm coaching, writing, or speaking, my life is devoted to making growing up a much easier process for teens, tweens, and their parents!
